Isaac's House

Isaac's House newsletter

Hi <<First Name>>

Welcome to the latest edition of the Isaac's House newsletter.

Education update

All of the children are doing really well at school and are soon finishing their academic school year. At the end of November, they broke up for their school holidays and start their new school year in February 2020. For this term, we want to wish good luck to brothers Mike and Nickson, and Edith, who will be completing their GCSE equivalent examinations and good luck to Gloria and Sam who are completing their final exams (A Level equivalent).

Welcome to the family

Our social worker Jessica has been part of the Isaac’s House family ever since we began supporting her university education in 2010. Jessica works really hard to support our children as they grow up and with her big heart cares for them all. With her degree and knowledge, Jessica is brilliant at working with our children and families in the community too. In May this year, Jessica welcomed baby Jed to her family and made his sister Jhanelle very happy! Welcome to the family Jed and congratulations to Jessica and family.

How Isaac's House can help

As a charity over the past 10 years, we have developed how best we can help children and through working with the locals we have learnt best how to help children and their families. This year we have made a positive difference to the lives of so many and this is thanks to your support.

Fundraising Success

Thank you to everyone who attended our fundraising events. Our two events, Afternoon Tea at Oh Me Oh My and Cheese and Wine Evening at Gild Hall raised an incredible amount of money. The support was incredible and the money raised will go such a long way in the lives of the children we support in Uganda. A special thank you to our fundraising team and trustees who organised the events and the wonderful businesses who provided raffle prizes. Please see below a Thank You from the children.

Join our Fundraising Team

We would love to invite anyone interested to join our new fundraising team. As a team, we plan to meet several times a year, in Liverpool and organise upcoming events for Isaac’s House charity. If you would be interested in being a part of something great please e-mail Rachel at mail@isaacshouse.org for more information.

Pearl of Africa

We love this photograph of Jayden, Gift and Livius enjoying the beach on the shores of Lake Victoria during their school holidays. Uganda is a beautiful country and is known as the Pearl of Africa. Any of our volunteers who have been fortunate to visit Uganda and see the good work of Isaac’s House charity all fall in love with the country, the culture, the people and the good weather!

About Isaac's House

Isaac’s House is a small charity making a big difference. We care for 18 children living at Isaac’s House children’s home in a safe, stable, family environment. Thanks to their sponsors the children have access to education and health care, and more importantly they have a place to call home. As a charity, we continue to support children in the community with their education and help empower families in the community.
